Young Man: The Smoking Pig

One of the best things about Anderson is The Smoking Pig. A legitimate barbeque place. They do pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken. I've had everything except the ribs and everything is excellent. I used to think I was a pork guy, but this place has turned me onto brisket.

Handwritten menus. 

They know which team to root for (you get to go write your name and a little message on a helmet - if you can find a place).

The goods. The brisket sandwich (yes, that is just the sandwich portion) piled about two inches high, and sweet potato crunch (we'd never tried it before and it was amazing).

If you're ever in the Pendleton area, seriously check out the Smoking Pig - just off 76. But be warned, they only serve food Thursday to Saturday. They're smoking their stuff the rest of the time (I've driven by at 11 PM on a Tuesday to see smoke coming from the stack). Really amazing stuff.
